Midas Football Academy Nigeria | Registration, Fees, Location

by Goal Nigeria

Midas Football Academy combines football training, education, and personal development, helping young people grow as players and as individuals. It started in November 2006 to discover talented kids from Nigeria and West Africa and help them grow into skilled players.

The academy also teaches leadership and life skills, preparing children for success both on and off the field. It is officially registered with the Nigeria Football Federation and the Lagos State Football Association. The academy is for kids aged 11 to 19.

They teach them how to play football, teach them discipline, give them academic support, and exposure to international scouts and clubs. Besides football, the students receive vocational training and leadership guidance to prepare them for professional careers and to succeed in life.

Midas Football Academy is one of the top academies in Nigeria and Africa. It helps kids grow both as players and as people. At the academy, there is regular football training, competitive matches, and support for taking national exams like WAEC and NECO.

The academy provides boarding facilities for junior and senior players and offers scholarships for exceptionally talented students. Every month, the academy gives awards, and sometimes former football stars visit to teach and inspire the students.

Midas Football Academy Owner/Founder:

Midas Football Academy was started and is run by Bayonle Arashi, who is both the founder and CEO. Bayonle Arashi brings experience in sports, media, communications, and youth development to lead the academy effectively.

He has worked in broadcasting, managed sports events, done digital marketing, and public speaking. He is also a certified U.S. Soccer Referee and part of the U.S. Soccer Coach community.

Under his leadership, Midas Football Academy has participated in and won youth football tournaments locally and internationally, and it has helped players progress to college football abroad. Bayonle Arashi continues to oversee its development and operations.

Location/Address

The academy does not have its own stadium. Midas Football Academy has both an office and a field where the training happens.

The office headquarters is in Lagos State at Suite 10, Ebunoluwa Shopping Plaza, near Ajala Bus Stop in the Ijaiye Ojokoro area, Ifako‑Ijaye.

The main training ground where the players actually practice is San‑Siro Field at Ikola / Gospel Camp Ground, Ipaja Command, Lagos.

There is no verified branch in Abuja, Nigeria, and no official presence in Sugar Land, Texas, USA. Mentions online, such as Reddit posts, do not indicate a formal connection to the Nigerian academy.

The Lagos location is the official centre for all training activities.

Midas Football Academy Fees/Costs

To join Midas Football Academy for a whole year, it costs ₦150,000. This pays for football training, medical care, one training jersey, and one ceremonial jersey.

The ₦150,000 comes from several smaller fees. These include things like the application form, the academy uniform, the training jersey, a vocational education application, coaching, an ID card, medical care, and a project fee. When you add all these compulsory charges together, they equal the full ₦150,000 for the year.

There is also a football camp fee of ₦100,000, but this is optional and not part of the normal registration package. When compared with other football academies in Lagos and Nigeria, Midas Football Academy is usually placed within a yearly fee range of ₦150,000 to ₦400,000, depending on whether extra services like camps, tours or extended programmes are included.

The academy also organises trials and sometimes offers discounts, such as percentage reductions during special sign-up periods. In some cases, very talented players or players from disadvantaged backgrounds may be allowed to join for free or at a reduced cost. This is another reason why some people report paying less than the standard fee.

Online information may not be accurate. The safest way is to contact them directly – Call, email, or visit the academy to ask for the exact cost. Ask for a written fee list or formal invoice. Do this before paying.

How to Pay and Register

First, get the application form from the official Midas Football Academy website. The form asks for your name, date of birth, contact details, playing position and references. Fill in all the required information correctly.

Next, you must pay the academy fees.

Standard Breakdown (₦150,000):

  • Application form – ₦10,000
  • Academy uniform/ceremonial dress – ₦10,000
  • Training jersey – ₦15,000
  • Vocational education application – ₦30,000
  • Coaching fee – ₦50,000
  • ID card – ₦5,000
  • Medical fee – ₦20,000
  • Project fee – ₦10,000

Optional: Camp fee ₦100,000 (optional and may not be part of the standard package)

Payment must be made only into the academy’s official bank account. The bank is Keystone Bank Plc. The account name is Midas Football Academy, and the account number is 1000960956. Payments should not be made to any other account.

After paying at the bank, keep your teller or receipt. This proof of payment must be shown to the Team Manager or Head Coach, so your payment can be checked and approved before you continue training.
Training usually takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:00 in the morning at Ikola Pitch behind the Army Resettlement Centre in Ipaja.

Once the form is completed, you can submit it online through the website or take it to the academy office. You should always confirm any payment request through the academy’s official WhatsApp number or email.

The academy only accepts certain ages. The Midas Cub team is for kids about 5 to 13 years old. The senior youth teams are for children 14 to 17 years old. Meeting these age requirements is necessary, or your application might not be accepted.

Scholarship

Midas Football Academy gives scholarships to kids aged 11–19 who are really good at football.

They pick players based on how well they play at tryouts, not on school grades or money. Some kids get to join for free, while others pay less.

If you get a scholarship, you get proper training, play in competitions, meet scouts, get football gear, and learn extra skills like computers. The best players might even get a chance to play for clubs in other countries.

To apply, kids go to tryouts, and the best way to know about them is to check the academy’s website or contact them.

Hostel and Accommodation

Currently, the academy does not have a working hostel. There are plans to build a 120-student hostel for both players and coaches, with full boarding and structured academic and training schedules, but this is still in development. Until it is ready, players from outside Lagos must arrange their own accommodation. The academy may offer advice or contacts but does not provide full boarding.

The planned hostel will have proper furniture and household facilities, so players can live, study, and train in a high-standard environment. The academy has modern training infrastructure, though specific details such as pitch quality, gyms, or medical support are not fully listed.

If you want to join, remember you need to sort out your own accommodation for now. Contact the academy directly for advice.

Hostel fees are not officially set online, accommodation is arranged at the player’s expense, and estimates suggest full boarding could cost more than ₦150,000.

Players/Graduates

There is no full list of past players or graduates available on the academy’s website. The academy’s “Players” pages do not show actual names.

Some independent websites, like football directories, list players associated with Midas teams, particularly youth squads. For example, Nuru Abdullahi was the captain of the MIDAS ’19 team, and other players included Ajayi Ogunsanya, Daylight Amoo, and Abraham Izuchukwu. These names come from external sources like teamstats.net and represent only a snapshot of one youth team, not verified graduates.

According to the academy, some of its players have gone on to play in the United States, either in college teams or lower-division leagues, and others are now in the Nigeria National League or the Nigeria Professional Football League. However, there is no information confirming which named players have reached top professional clubs.
