Victor Osimhen transfer speculation continues after Galatasaray intensified efforts to keep the Super Eagles striker by pursuing Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde as part of the club’s Champions League recruitment plan.
The Turkish champions are keen to retain the Super Eagles striker after another prolific season, with Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and clubs in the Saudi Pro League continuing to monitor his situation.
According to Turkish outlet HaberGo, Galatasaray have identified Valverde as their next marquee signing after focusing on Osimhen’s future. The report says the club has started exploring the financial framework required to sign the Uruguay international, whose contract with Real Madrid runs until 2029.
Galatasaray are assessing whether they can open negotiations with Real Madrid for Federico Valverde, whose market value stands at around €90 million.

Galatasaray’s latest move follows earlier reports that the club had assured Osimhen it would strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
Transfer insider Burhan Can Terzi previously reported that club officials promised the Nigeria international a more competitive team capable of challenging on the European stage.
Club commentator Levent Tüzemen also said Galatasaray assured Osimhen they would sign experienced and high-profile players before another UEFA Champions League campaign.
Valverde would add experience at the highest level, having won multiple UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles with Real Madrid.
Osimhen Yet To Decide Future
Osimhen has not announced a decision on his future despite sustained interest from several clubs across Europe and the Middle East.
Galatasaray have already strengthened the squad by agreeing a deal for Nigeria-eligible French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, while work continues behind the scenes on further additions.
The club’s recruitment drive comes as it seeks to persuade Osimhen to remain in Istanbul for another season while preparing to compete in both the Turkish Super Lig and the UEFA Champions League.
