Kelechi Iheanacho salary at Celtic could move the Super Eagles striker back among Nigeria’s highest-paid footballers if he accepts the club’s reported new contract. The Scottish champions have reportedly offered the 29-year-old a two-year deal worth up to £4.42 million, including bonuses, with a weekly wage of £35,000 and an annual salary of about £1.82 million.

Although the proposed contract would keep Iheanacho among Nigeria’s top earners in Europe, several Super Eagles teammates still earn significantly more.

Victor Osimhen Remains Nigeria’s Highest-Paid Footballer

Victor Osimhen sits comfortably at the top of the list.

The Super Eagles striker earns one of the biggest salaries in African football after completing his move to Galatasaray. His reported wages place him well ahead of every other Nigerian player.

Osimhen’s earnings remain several times higher than the salary Celtic have reportedly offered Iheanacho.

Ademola Lookman And Victor Boniface Also Earn More

Ademola Lookman has become one of Nigeria’s best-paid players following his outstanding performances for Atalanta.

The reigning African Player of the Year receives a salary that exceeds Iheanacho’s proposed earnings at Celtic.

Meanwhile, Victor Boniface also ranks above Iheanacho. The Bayer Leverkusen striker signed an improved contract after helping the German club win the Bundesliga title, increasing his yearly income.

Both forwards remain among Nigeria’s highest-paid footballers in Europe.

Wilfred Ndidi’s Salary Also Tops Iheanacho’s Proposed Deal

Wilfred Ndidi continues to earn more than Iheanacho.

The Leicester City midfielder has remained one of Nigeria’s highest-paid players since signing his long-term contract with the former Premier League champions.

Even after Leicester’s recent changes, Ndidi’s reported salary remains above the figures attached to Iheanacho’s proposed Celtic contract.

Where Kelechi Iheanacho Salary Could Rank In Nigeria

If Iheanacho accepts Celtic’s reported offer, he would remain among Nigeria’s better-paid footballers, although he would trail Osimhen, Lookman, Boniface and Ndidi.

The proposed deal would also provide financial stability after spells with Sevilla, Middlesbrough and Leicester City before his return to Scottish football.

Celtic’s offer reportedly includes:

  • Weekly salary: £35,000
  • Annual salary: About £1.82 million
  • Two-year basic salary: About £3.64 million
  • Performance bonuses: Up to £780,000
  • Total package: About £4.42 million

Negotiations between Celtic and Iheanacho are still ongoing, with no agreement announced at the time of writing.
