Premier League clubs continued their summer business as Leeds United moved closer to signing Tarik Muharemovic, Bournemouth opened talks for Benfica defender Antonio Silva, and West Ham United grew more confident of keeping captain Jarrod Bowen.
Leeds United Agree Deal To Sign Tarik Muharemovic
Leeds United have reportedly agreed a £34.1 million deal with Serie A club Sassuolo for defender Tarik Muharemovic.
The clubs have settled the transfer fee, but Leeds must still agree personal terms with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international before completing the move.
Muharemovic made 32 appearances for Sassuolo last season and helped the club finish 11th in Serie A. He also played three matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including Bosnia and Herzegovina’s last-32 defeat to the United States. During that match, Folarin Balogun received a red card after challenging Muharemovic before officials later overturned the suspension.
Bournemouth Open Talks For Antonio Silva
Bournemouth have reportedly opened talks to sign Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva.
The Cherries identified Silva as the replacement for Marcos Senesi, who left for Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer earlier this summer.
Benfica have delayed negotiations while they focus on their UEFA Europa League qualifying campaign. The Portuguese club will face St Gallen in the second qualifying round later this month.
Bournemouth also strengthened their attack earlier this week by signing striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche.
Jarrod Bowen Expected To Stay At West Ham
West Ham United believe Jarrod Bowen will stay at the club despite interest from Aston Villa, Everton and Newcastle United.
Bowen scored nine goals and provided 11 assists in 38 Premier League appearances last season, but the Hammers still dropped into the Championship.
West Ham now expect the England forward to lead their promotion challenge. Reports also say Bowen could consider his future if one of the Premier League’s traditional top clubs submits an offer.
