Manchester United have strengthened their squad by signing Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa in a deal worth £36 million.
The Belgium international has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford, but United are not expected to stop there. The club continues to look for another midfielder as the summer transfer window remains open.

Tielemans becomes one of Manchester United’s key signings of the summer after completing his move from Aston Villa.
The 29-year-old said joining United was the fulfilment of a long-term ambition.
“I have had the privilege of experiencing success in the game and it has only increased my determination to achieve more,” he said.
“The ambition from everyone at the club is extremely clear. We are all determined to push for the biggest trophies over the coming years.”
Manchester United Continue Search for Another Midfielder
United are still in the market for another central midfielder despite signing Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
The club’s plans have been influenced by Manuel Ugarte’s knee injury, while Casemiro has left Old Trafford.
Manchester United are not expected to make a high-value signing for the position after already spending around £85 million on Santos and Tielemans.
Alex Scott and Carlos Baleba Among Manchester United Targets
Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott remains on United’s shortlist, although Bournemouth want to keep the England Under-21 international and offer him a new contract.
Brighton’s Carlos Baleba is also being monitored as United continue to assess midfield options.
The club is no longer pursuing Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
Other Positions Manchester United Could Strengthen
Manchester United could also add a left-back and a left winger before the transfer window closes.
Marcus Rashford’s future remains undecided, with further discussions expected after he returns from the FIFA World Cup.
